FEELING BLUE SERIES / CAYLEE ROBERTSON

Feeling blue series came about at a time of deep exploration of myself and my art. I was introduced to the medium of printed photography through a dear friend and respective artist while living in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. It was a July afternoon when I met Brooke at my apartment overlooking Orchard and Broome. Brooke and I set out to my quintessential NYC rooftop, where a flock of white pigeons were dancing in the sweet summer evening air.

Sometimes, the concept of the work does not flow until after the process. I think most of my work is like that. To be the channel and to let the creativiy flow through you. Allowing God, or whatever you believe in, do a take over and to discover purpose after the action. Most of my life’s aligned achievements happen like that. The story in reverse often untold of getting the urge and skipping off the edge, like the great fool.

Feeling Blue series is a reflective piece and the memory associated to the color.
